A good dha shay sword from the Burma region of the late 19th to early 20th century. The single-edged steel blade slightly upcurves to the point. The stout hilt is bamboo wrapped in braided loops of rattan. The sheath is two halves of bamboo joined together by braided rattan loops. The original brown cotton baldric cord is tied to the upper section. A very good complete village grade dah shay sword.
