My Story.

I welcome you to the Mansfield Collection, a personal private collection that I have amassed through approximately fifteen years of collecting.  This assemblage has been made public for a number of various reasons, including to share the experience with others who enjoy similar passions, whether through common interest, research or, just simply exploration.

As a child growing up in the 90s, my interests were all things action packed as most probably were. These included G.I Joes, Micro Machines, and Army toys. Later on, I realized the importance of history and cultivated a sense of world culture leading to an interest in buying some of my first items in secondary school, one specifically being a flyssa knife in grade 10, that still remains with me today. This passion continued its journey leading me to attend the University of Pittsburgh where I pursued a degree in anthropology, minoring in the History of Art and Architecture, Museum Studies, and interning at the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum. There, I diligently learned how to catalog, research, and document incoming inventory. Collecting increased with time thereafter leading to exponential attainment of new items, knowledge, and experience where resources allowed. Today, I continue to build this site off of those same passions that led me on this adventure in the first place. Now, I hope to share all of these items with you publicly to contribute interest, research, and analysis within the realms of these objects and their respective shared history, culture, and meaning.
